Kaagapay Program Provides Much Needed Aid to Fire-affected Members
Twelve cooperative members received assistance following a fire incident on March 5 that destroyed their bunkhouse in Barangay Inawayan, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. The blaze – allegedly caused by a nearby welding work – quickly spread through the newly built structure, resulting in the loss of personal belongings and important documents.
Christopher Ogis expressed a similar concern, as his valid identification cards were also among the items destroyed in the fire.
Ms. Iris Corpuz, Asiapro Operations Head, reassured the members that the Cooperative remains supportive during unexpected events and hopes the assistance will help them recover.
The one-time shelter assistance was provided through Asiapro Cooperative Social Responsibility's Kaagapay Program.
