Twenty-nine coop members completed the two-day Koopreneur Training Program in Medina, Misamis Oriental last October 17.

The training was made possible through the Foundation's networking with the Department of Trade and Industry Region X.  DTI provided its experts to provide inputs and knowledge during the technical training. The head of Medina's Negosyo Center, Ms. Mary Jean Calvo, attended and gave her message informing the residents of Medina that their office is ready for those who wish to register their businesses.

Ms. Christine Laurente, MBA led the discussions on Entrepreneurial Mind-Setting which sensitized participants about the importance of business planning and preparedness. The topics: Record Keeping for Non-Accountants was delivered by Ms. Angelica Nuรฑez, CPA; and Simplified Bookkeeping, Budget, Expense, Saving (BES) Game were handled by Ms. Rosemarie Pido and Meliza Taclindo.

Participants shared their learning and conviction to persevere in their respective businesses:

โ€œEven though my business is small, what matters is that I will not give up." -๐‰๐ž๐š๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ž ๐‹๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š

โ€œBusiness is not easy, it's like gambling because sometimes you earn high, sometimes low, and sometimes there are no returns. An entrepreneur must have long patience and not make a habit of comparing oneโ€™s status with other entrepreneurs.โ€  -๐‘๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐’๐š๐›๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ๐จ

โ€œInvestments, expenses, and savings should be separated, even your own money. This is so that you don't get confused about where the money and income went. Recording is also important so that you can see all transactions and organize your purchases. You can also tell from the record whether you have income or not.โ€ -๐‘๐จ๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐š ๐’๐š๐œ๐š๐ฅ

โ€œPlanning is also a priority, because through planning you can tell if your resources are correct and if your business has a directionโ€ -๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐€๐ง๐ง ๐‘๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ณ

The 29 training completers are all positive and eager to take their respective businesses to the next level.
